Privacy Policy
Effective Date: April 2026
1. Information We Collect
When you create an account, we collect your email address, display name, and any preferences you configure (categories, geographic scopes, location). We also collect basic usage data such as articles viewed and interaction history (likes, dislikes, notifications).
2. How We Use Your Information
Your information is used to personalize your news feed, save your preferences, and improve the service. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
3. Data Storage
Your data is stored securely using Supabase (hosted on AWS). Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth. Guest preferences are stored locally in your browser via localStorage and are never transmitted to our servers.
4. Cookies and Local Storage
We use browser localStorage to persist guest preferences and authentication tokens. We do not use tracking cookies. No third-party analytics or advertising trackers are present during the beta period.
5. Third-Party Services
We use the Nominatim (OpenStreetMap) reverse geocoding service when you choose to share your location. This request includes your coordinates but no personal identifiers. See the OpenStreetMap privacy policy.
6. Your Rights
You may delete your account and all associated personal data at any time from the Account Management page. You can also selectively remove your personal information while keeping your account. Guest preferences can be cleared by clearing your browser's local storage.
